Lexi

Lexi is a 1-1.5 yrs old and loves to snuggle! She is a sweetheart who was dropped off in Montcalm County shelter after having a litter of pups...who could do such a thing?
Well she is all taken care of, spayed, UTD on her vaccines, and ready for a loving home with or without other dogs. She is great with children as well, but of course a high energy level so older children preferred. Unknown with cats.
Please look past the uneducated media reports on pitbulls and come MEET Lexi and you will very quickly change your mind about the misunderstood breed.
Go to http://www.pitbullsontheweb.com/petbull/findpit.html and see if you are up on your "knowledge" of the breeds appearance and temperments. Did you know that pitbulls get higher scores on temperment tests than most "family breeds" like the Corgi, Yorki, Shi Tzu, Poodle, etc.
http://www.atts.org/index.html They are over 80% and climbing as more EDUCATED owners are stepping up to own such a loving and loyal dog.

Moose

This 2-3 year old boy is up for adoption! He is the biggest sweetie and LOVES to play fetch and hop around the yard like a bunny. He is full of playful energy, but also knows when it is time to settle down and snuggle.
He is up to date on ALL his vaccinations and is already neutered. Due to the large breed and nature of pitbull/mixes I strongly recommend he go into a home with a fenced in yard or invisible fence as well as being enrolled in obedience class to give the owner a bonding opportunity. He is a smart boy and gets along well with other dogs, but NO CATS! He also does great with my children who are ages 3&4, but I would not recommend him to a home with children any younger because of his clumsiness and energy level.
Fill out an application to the right of my homepage if interested in adopting him.
His adoption fee is $150

Forms

Transport Coordination Request Form

Offer to help with a transport/overnight Form

Adoption Application

Welcome!!!

I want to make my life a little easier...do you blame me?

I get many emails from people asking for help to get rescued doggies from point A to point B...there are a few really GREAT coordinators out there, but my personal feeling is there isn't ENOUGH of them for the amount of dogs that need transport...so I started helping out myself. No, I have not been around for years, no I am not a perfect person or better than those who have been doing it for years BUT I am eager and willing to help, learn, and do the job! Isn't that what it is all about? Wanting to help?

I have spoken to some coordinators about what their requirements are in order for them to assist in a transport coordination and while it may seem to some rescuers and shelters that this is a LOT to ask, it is for the safety of ALL involved, so I will be asking much of the same in order to get a transport done safely, and efficiently!

I have a form that will be used for anyone who is wishing to request my help in coordinating a transport that MUST be filled out for each and every coordination you need help with. I will also have a form for those wishing to volunteer to drive or overnight dogs on transport.

There will be requirements of the dogs that will be included on the transports to follow the USDA transport guidelines as well as my own personal guidelines. One thing that is always a question is dogs that are spayed/neutered prior to transport. While I would require this on almost any transport, there are circumstances that this just cannot be done in time to save a dogs life! I will be working closely with an animal control that does not have the ability to get these dogs altered before they go, so I will allow it pending an approval of a rescue that is verified to ALWAYS alter their rescues!

What I would like you to keep in mind is that this is a HARD job, and VERY time consuming! I do this voluntarily and spend days upon days helping out dogs in need...Sometimes it includes begging for donations for gas money to get volunteers to do more legs in order to complete a transport. So if you are in a position to be able to donate, I will be posting a link to donate to a transport paypal account which will allow me to have a consistant ability to work with my volunteers to get the run completed! Even if a rescue who is using my services is willing and able to donate a small amount to the fund to ensure their run is a smooth one. I really do appreciate all your help and hard work to save the animals!
